++ As he launched the new Federal Police Intelligence Center Public Security Secretary Genaro García Luna said that Mexico can no longer continue with obsolete mechanisms to combat crime. The Federal Police Intelligence Center will gather together all information from the Mexico Platform… It will have a national security list that will include names and profiles of each and every criminal organization in the country.
++ President Felipe Calderón said that kidnapping rates in Mexico are dropping since authorities have destroyed some of the most dangerous kidnap gangs. Mexico City´s Attorney General Miguel Ángel Mancera said the kidnapping rate in Mexico City has dropped by 40 percent.
++ The ALIA 2 Foundation reported that Mexico is the country with the most hits on child pornography websites on the Internet, followed by Spain, the United States and Argentina.
The World Bank approved a 1.504 million dollar loan for Mexico aimed at helping economic policies, including fiscal and labor.
