The Attorney General’s Office detained Miguel Ángel Soto Parra, who is identified by the National Defense Secretariat and the SIEDO as a founder of the Los Zetas hired gunmen’s group. Soto Parra’s capture occurred in Mexico City.

The Federal District Public Security Secretariat confirmed that five police officers who are members of the Banking and Industrial Police force and are in charge of security for Andrés Manuel López Obrador, were detained in Sinaloa... The officers were detained by the Army at a highway checkpoint… They were arrested because they were carrying weapons that only the Armed Forces are permitted to use.
