As promised on Imagen News, following is Mary Margaret Salazar´s famous Hot Toddy Recipe:
A cup of boiling water (I mean it, boiling. Dont´be lazy, boil it, no microwave please!)
A shot of wiskey or bourbon. I am sure tequila would work.
Squeeze some lime or lemon.
Sugar to taste (half to one teaspoon)
Add a thin slice of orange...and
Drink drink drink...
You will sleep like a baby (or a drunkard....)
Now this is my family´s recipe to face the flu season... What does your family do?

HI Ana María
When I get a cold usually I turn in as early a as I can with a bunch of warm cloth and warm blankets, but before I drink a hot beverage like tea or chocolate. As hot as it is possible. So, as you can imagine, I start swetting. A lot. That is what I do and it usually work fine to me.
Grettings and congratulations for your radio program and blog

Similar recipe with hot, spicy tea (Good Earth decaf is a good one), honey, a little lemon juice and a shot of whiskey, bourbon, tequila, brandy or dark rum, whatever dark liquor is in the cabinet. Very soothing on the throat and achy body.
