++ Hurricane Dolly made landfall in the coast of Tamaulipas … The storm brought heavy rains and winds of up to 140 kilometers per hour… No victims have been reported… A red alert remains in effect in Tamaulipas and Nuevo León.

++ PRI senators presented their party’s energy reform proposal… The PRI proposal allows for exploration and drilling contracts with the private sector.

++ Meanwhile, PRD deputies coordinator, Javier González Garza, spoke out against private sector participation in exploration… He also criticized the PRI proposal because it failed to broach the subject of Pemex’s union.

++ The head of the collective ruling board at the Chamber of Deputies, PRD politician Ruth Zavaleta, acknowledged that the citizen’s consultation on energy set for Sunday is biased because it only includes two questions.

++ Bank of Mexico governor Guillermo Ortiz said that government subsidies to gasoline will be gradually removed.

++ Gustavo Rosario Torres resigned from his job as Attorney General of Tabasco… His resignation follows an increase in kidnappings in the state in recent weeks.
