Felipe Calderon, the president-elect, sent a letter listing his legislative proposals which coincide with that of his opponents. The letter went out to parliamentary coordinators of the Frente Amplio Progresista: PRD, PT (workers party) and Convergencia.

The official security operative in the Chamber of Deputees was put in place for Felipe Calderon´s inauguration as president of Mexico on Dec. 1. The security detail is headed by the Estado Mayor Presidencial. After Juan de Dios Castro, the Presidency’s legal advisor, met with Carlos Abascal, the Secrteary of the Interior, Juan de Dios Castro said that Felipe Calderon will be the constitutional president of Mexico from the first minute on December 1 onwards. He also added that the Congress has the obligation of fulfilling the constitution and ¨tomarle la protesta¨ (take the oath as president). Carlos Abascal called on legislators at Congress to do what they deem appropriate on Dec 1.

Francisco Martínez Neri, the dean of the Universidad Autónoma Benito Juárez of Oaxaca said that academic and administrative activities of the University will start on Tuesday November 21. He also said that the barricades around the university campus will be removed.
