I guess they did not want to leave this decision to the last moment... Tomorrow, Tuesday 5th of September (remember, the legal deadline was the 6th) the Federal Electoral Tribunal will issue its final decision, in which they will probably certify Felipe Calderón as Mexico’s new President. Also on the table is the possibility of the Tribunal simply annulling the elections (which appears unlikely, but not impossible.) The worse case scenario would be a divided decision: By one vote the winning decision is to certify Felipe Calderon and the other half of the tribunal votes to annul the elections....
The Tribunal hearing will start at 8:00 am and for those of you who live in Mexico City, well expect the traffic to worsen..
