Do me favor... Just check out this video clip on YouTUBE... Let´s say it is a gentle reminder of Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador´s definition of "democratic elections."

"Journalist" Greg Palast presented yet another of his incendiary reports, this one, about Mexico's election.

http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=06/07/12/146201&mode=thread&tid=25

This is is my attempt at writing a rebuttal to Mr. Palast's propaganda:

How easy is it to portray anything as irrefutable proof. The video shown here was indeed made public, in the video, the individual seen "stuffing" the ballot box is no one other than the president of that polling station. His official ID is hanging from his neck, other voting station officials can be seen around him about their business, all of them acting naturally, not a single sign of nervousness or any attempt of hiding their actions.

The events portrayed in the video, do not constitute an illegal action. These ballots were deposited in the wrong box by voters, they were being repositioned to the correct election box. Elections were held for President, House of representatives and Senate, and in some counties mayoral elections were held.

Palast's report is so obviously biased that it reeks foul. The people interviewed, are most of them hard-core supporters of losing candidate Lopez Obrador, Luis Mandoki made an apologetical film about him, the newspaper (La Jornada) Palast is seen reading, is the left's de facto news organization; clearly biased.

Mr Palast failed to approach independent, objective sources. That is poor journalism, if any at all. More like tabloid sensationalism.

The "statician" shown on Palast's report, fails to tell Palast that the reason why the numbers for Calderon grew towards the end of the quick count. Representatives of the losing candidate party delayed transmission of the results where Calderon was sure to come ahead by challenging the vote count, a clear strategy to present Lopez as the winning candidate in the quick count.

Inaccuracies in Palast's report are spread throughout the video. Mr. Calderon never refused to a recount, a decision that is only in the electoral tribunal's realm. Not anything that can be negotiated among candidates.

Readers everywhere deserve accurate information, not fodder for conspiracy theories as Mr. Palast so obviously is feeding you here and elsewhere.

Mr. Lopez's claims of election fraud have not been substantiated, not to this date, despite the myriad promises of producing the evidence he so insistently claims to have.

The recount ordered by the electoral tribunal which ended last monday, failed to show any evidence of ballot manipulation or gross arithmetic errors. The strategy now, has switched from vote recount to a veiled declaration of insurgence. Mr. Lopez has vowed a crusade for the "purification of public institutions" if he is not declared president.

Let me share with you something that will give you a better idea of Mr. Lopez's true character, and the behavior he expected from the people of Mexico, but no, no Buffalo Valley for us.....we are going to the beach.
