AMLO lost because of Patricia?
Patricias Mercado, the candidate of the Alternativa Social Democratica y Campesina, obtained in the presidential elections 1,085,966 votes which is 02.81% of the nationwide votes. She needed 2.00% to assure the registry of her party. Patricia and her party are clearly on the left side of the political spectrum. Could it be, that if Patricia had not run, Andres Manuel would now be the winner of the elections. Remember that the diffrence between AMLO and Calderón is one point. MY opionion is that few of those voting for Patricia would have necessarily voted for AMLO. In some circles of the left AMLO is criticized and not recognized as a leftist politician. Ask Marcos, Cuahtemoc Cardenas. I believe that many of those who voted for Patricia, did it because they simply did not feel the other candidates were worthy of their vote... But...I am sure the PRD feels that Patricia may be the reason why AMLO lost.. Short fo like the Ralph Nader phenomena in the 2000 elections, when democrats blamed him for taking away needed votes for Al Gore...

I respectfully diesagree, Ana María. I would rather say that López took away Patricia´s votes. The trouble with the Mexican left is that it moves in a purely symbolic plane, instead of dealing with organization, comitees and contacts. It believes with religious fervour that History Has Decreed that The Left Must Win. Their campaigning doesn´t pretend to atract voters, but to be a triumphal parade that will confirm History´s ukase. Why don´t we let them proceed with their cute religious rites and invent a left that moves in the real world?
Ana María: Take a moment to consider:
1. Cuauhtémoc Cárdenas, did NOT endorsed AMLO....¿why?
2. Patricia Mercado is a LADY, who seeks the wealth of México, from her innerguts....AMLO is looking for power from the first day of his existence, nothing else.
3. Calderón is a young lawyer, educated abroad and has been a succesful politician,from his very beginning. AMLO is a frustrated "university-flunk" known as "porro", traveled (?) to Cuba, and has been an agitator from his very beginning.
4. Most of PAN people, are profesionals, looks nice and smile. Most of PRD people, are a bunch of loosers, looks awful bitter,and stinks!
5. Felipe...do not extend your hand to AMLO as a gesture of peace...he might bite you....beware¡
Who said AMLO lost? You are getting ahead of yourself.
AMLO=MALO
He has lost and is a baby and cant walk away. Someone need to "help" him figure out where he belongs.
